From Save a Life:
The towns of Yorktown and Cortlandt Manor have experienced over twenty youth deaths in the last few years. Take three hours and help break the cycle of accidental death, funerals and regret. Find out what YOU can do to Save A Life.
Save a Life is a program for the whole community, with separate speakers and workshops for adults and for youth from area high schools.
The goal for the Adult track is to provide Preventive information to equip families for situations before they arise, for neighbors and friends in providing support, and a panel on Intervention with strategies for change and hope in the home and in the community.
The goal of the Teen track is to want to equip teens to be First Responders, who have information, connections and real help. It’s training for teens, by teens at the Yorktown Community Center.
