On Jan. 25, New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested Alphonso E. Gourdine, 40 years old, of Peekskill, NY, for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a Felony.
A traffic stop was initiated on the defendant’s vehicle after officers saw it failing to maintain its lane of travel. Following an investigation, police concluded that Gourdine was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
Gourdine was charged with Felony DWI when it was discovered that he had been convicted of DWI in October of 2008.
He provided a positive breath sample yielding a Blood Alcohol Content of .19 percent, more than two times the legal limit of intoxication.
Gourdine was released with traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Cortlandt Court on Feb. 6.
