Fire Displaces 12 In Peekskill

Four families had to leave their homes because of the smoky blaze.

PEEKSKILL, NY — Twelve people were displaced from their apartments after a smoky fire broke out in a three-story Main Street building in Peekskill. Firefighters were called to 1049 Main St. around 6 p.m. Sunday.

Four families left their homes because of the blaze that is not considered to be suspicious, the Journal News said.

There were no injuries but the residents will have to relocate because the structure was destroyed.
