Hazardous Outlook Updated For Mid Hudson Valley
Scattered rain and thunderstorms are possible across the region, with the heaviest downpours north of I-84.
The National Weather Service updated its hazardous outlook for Dutchess and Ulster counties:
Showers with isolated thunderstorms can be expected across the area this evening into the early morning hours. Some areas could see locally heavy rainfall, with amounts of 1 to 2 inches, which would be enough to cause minor flooding in poor drainage areas.
For Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester, it's another basic stormy night.
A weak disturbance moves in for the late evening and into the overnight resulting in showers and a few thunderstorms. The rain may be briefly heavy at times, along with a few thunderstorms capable of producing gusty winds.
One unpleasant thing will happen while we're sleeping: It will turn more humid through the night, with temperatures mainly in the middle 60s and upper 60s.
