July 4 Weekend DWIs In Cortlandt

Among 28 impaired drivers removed by state police from Troop K was a man driving in Cortlandt with a previous conviction for DWI.

CORTLANDT, NY — State Police in Troop K said they removed 28 impaired drivers from public roadways over the July 4 weekend. That included two arrests in Cortlandt, one after a car crash and one of a driver with a previous conviction for driving while intoxicated; and one Cortlandt resident arrested in Croton-on-Hudson.

  • On July 5, State police arrested Riley M. Palermo, 20, of Phillipstown, NY, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 9 in the town of Cortlandt, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, police alleged.
  • On July 6, State police arrested Toshina N. Davis, 39, of Poughkeepsie, NY, for DWI. She was traveling on the Bear Mountain Bridge in the town of Cortlandt, when she was involved in a two-car motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed she was under the influence of alcohol, police said.
  • On July 7, State police arrested Luis Lopez, 39, of Cortlandt, NY, for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 9 in the village of Croton-on-Hudson, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, police alleged.
