Lakeland Copper Beech Middle School's Jasper Fox, Sr. was selected as the Educators Voice Honoree in the Middle School Teacher category

Congratulations to Lakeland Copper Beech Middle School’s Jasper Fox, Sr. who was selected as the Educators Voice Honoree in the Middle School Teacher category as part of the 2014 Bammy Awards. Academy of Education Arts and Sciences presented the Educators’ Voice Award.
On September 27, all honorees were recognized at the 2014 Bammy Awards which were held in the Arena Stage at Mead Center, Washington, DC. This red carpet event celebrated “all that is good” in education today. Exemplary educators, school leaders and visionaries from around the country were honored.
Jasper Sr. received the Academy of Education Arts and Sciences “Educators Voice Award for Middle School Teacher of the Year”. This popular vote honor was based on educators across the country who are aware of 21st century skills, collaboration, and radio show on the BAM Pulse radio network. One of the nominations summed up Jasper’s work: “He is a science middle school teacher who thinks outside the box. He has class blogs, student blogs, student-produced videos that bring technology and media into his classroom. He goes beyond the walls of his classroom and shares his insights with others through his Learning Lab Radio, YouTube channel and other resources on his blog. Jasper is a hidden gem.”

The Academy of Education Arts and Sciences is comprised of over 300 prominent education leaders including Dr. Linda Darling-Hammond, professor of education at Stanford University; Diane Ravitch, former Assistant Secretary of Education; Dr. Timothy Shriver, CEO of the Special Olympics and directors from ISTE, NAESP, AASA, PTA, NEA, AFT, NASN, ASBO and NASSP.
