Mahopac Gas Station Sells Winning Powerball Ticket

Officials say it's valued at $1 million.

The winning ticket for the second-place prize of a Powerball drawing last week came from a Putnam gas station.

Officials from the New York Lottery confirmed that the sale was made on Aug. 8 at the Mobil Mart at the corner of Route 6 and Baldwin Place in Mahopac.

Staff members there did not have contact information for the winner, but they said he's a regular who stops by almost everyday. They told Patch that this is the biggest winning ticket they've sold.
