Man Uses Child To Help Him Steal From Home Depot: Police
New York state troopers allege he had the kid push the shopping cart.
CORTLANDT, NY — New York State police accused a Carmel resident of using a child to help him try to steal $768 worth of tools from the Home Depot in Cortlandt.
Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested Charles C. Cerbone, 42, on Tuesday and charged him with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Petit Larceny, both class A misdemeanors.
They said they were called to the Home Depot on East Main Street in Cortlandt about 3 p.m. for a report of larceny.

They allege that Cerbone had a child push a shopping cart containing $768.95 worth of stolen tools from the store.
He is due in Cortlandt town court Sept. 7.
