Singer, songwriter, and former Men at Work frontman Colin Hay is coming to the Paramount Hudson Valley Theater on November 11 at 8 PM.

Colin Hay earned a place in pop history and in the minds of millions as vocalist, songwriter, and frontman for the legendary Australian rock band Men at Work (“Down Under,” “Overkill,” “Who Can It Be Now?”). Hay and Men at Work won a Grammy Award for Best New Artist and went on to gather multiple gold and platinum album certifications.

Hay eventually launched a solo career to critical acclaim, selling out venues across the United States and around the world. He has released 12 albums to date.

Next Year People, released in 2015, is full of quizzical, curious, and cynical yet open-hearted songs with catchy melodic hooks that underscore deeply insightful lyrics. His music has been frequently featured in TV and film, including hit shows like Scrubs, Army Wives, and Modern Family.

The Paramount Theater, a Westchester County Landmark, has been an important part of the Hudson Valley’s cultural life for 86 years. Under the leadership of Kurt Heitmann, Red House Entertainment acquired the theater in May 2013 for the single purpose of reviving it as a vibrant downtown venue for Live Music and HD quality digital entertainment.
