“Lunch and Learn” Keeping Your Bones Strong as You Age

December 15, Noon – 1:00 pm

Presenter: Nicole S. Belkin, MD, a Columbia University orthopedic surgeon with NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley, specializes in non-operative and operative treatment of injuries and conditions effecting the knee, shoulder and hip. While it's true that we lose bone as we age and that bone loss can cause osteoporosis, there is good news: There's plenty you can do to keep your bones strong and healthy.

Bariatric Supportive Cooking

This free cooking demonstration with Chef Emilie Berner and Ashley Fleischhauer, RN, is a great opportunity to sample new and healthy recipes. Learn about the ten basic rules of eating following bariatric intervention, as well as a mindful eating practice. All food will be sample, and recipes will be provided. Family and friends welcome!
