No Further Searches for Man Who Jumped from Bear Mountain Bridge
The man apparently committed suicide Sunday night.

No new searches are being planned Tuesday for the man who jumped off the Bear Mountain Bridge Sunday night.
Unless new information is presented, authorities said no new water searches will take place, according to News12.com.
The preliminary police investigation indicated that the 27-year-old man, who has not been identified other than being from Pomona, stopped his vehicle around 6:24 p.m. and jumped over the southern railing of the bridge span.

The victim’s identification was tentatively made using evidence found in the vehicle.
Scuba resources and side-scan sonar were used to try to locate the victim, state police said.
