Peekskill Man Arrested For Driving While Drug-Impaired
He was arrested after an accident in Yorktown.

PEEKSKILL, NY — A Peekskill man faces multiple charges in Yorktown after an accident occurred Friday, Jan. 11. Yorktown police said Steven Cilento, 33, of Peekskill, was charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, a felony; driving while ability impaired by drugs and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanors; unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, and multiple traffic infractions including expired registration, unlicensed operator, fail to maintain lane, speed not reasonable and prudent and refusal to submit to a chemical test.
Police said, around 6:15 p.m. Jan. 11, officers were sent to a motor vehicle accident on Route 6 in Yorktown. On arrival at the scene, police said Cilento was driving while drug-impaired.
A further investigation found he was in possession of narcotics and marijuana.

Additionally, police said his driver's license had been revoked.
Cilento also refused to submit to a chemical test while in police custody, officers said.

He was processed and released on $500 bail to a family member.
Cilento is due back in Yorktown Justice Court Jan. 24.
