Peekskill Man Violates Order of Protection, Chokes Victim, Returns the Next Day
He faces 2 criminal contempt charges.

Kenneth J. Miller, 27, violated a court order by having contact with a person on whose behalf an Order of Protection had been issued.
The specific contact? choking.
State troopers were dispatched to a domestic incident March 6 at a residence in Cortlandt, where it is alleged that Miller choked a person who had an active order of protection against him.

He ran away before police came. But he returned the next day—though police didn’t learn that until after they had found and arrested him in connection with the March 6 incident.
Troopers found the Peekskill resident March 7 and charged him with Criminal Contempt 1st Degree, a felony, and Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, a misdemeanor. When they learned that Miller had returned to the victim’s home on March 7th, he was additionally charged with Criminal Contempt 2nd Degree, a misdemeanor.
Miller was arraigned before the Town of Cortlandt Court and sent to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
