Police Arrest Man With Knife On Wells Street
Peekskill High School was on lockout for a short time because the police activity was nearby.
PEEKSKILL, NY — A 29-year-old man carrying a knife on Fremont Street was arrested Monday morning by Peekskill police.
Police said when approached by an officer, the man ran into a house on Wells Street but soon came back outside and was arrested.
None of it involved the Peekskill school district or its students, police said.

District officials sent out a message to residents to let them know that Peekskill High School was briefly placed in a lockout during the police activity. Instruction continued as usual, they said.
