NY State Police Probe Mysterious Death Of Brooklyn Woman

Officers in Westchester County are looking for information about Barbara E. Berkowitz, a 71-year-old Brooklyn resident.

CORTLANDT, NY — New York State Police in Cortlandt announced Wednesday they are investigating the death of Barbara E. Berkowitz, a 71-year-old Brooklyn resident. Police said they began the investigation April 29.

Police said they are searching for more information regarding her life and habits.

Investigators ask that any friends or relatives not yet contacted please call state police at 914-769-2600. Please refer to case No. 9562749. All calls can be kept confidential.

According to the Berkeley College website, a Barbara E. Berkowitz taught an economics class in the truncated winter semester Jan. 6 - April 18 at the White Plains campus.
