Police Find Guns, Drugs After High-Speed Chase In Cortlandt
Police allege the man was having a drug overdose when they finally stopped him.

CORTLANDT, NY — A man arrested after a high-speed chase through Cortlandt and Peekskill now faces federal as well as state charges.
The Brooklyn man was driving on Route 9 in Cortlandt when troopers tried to stop him for violation of the vehicle and traffic law. He started to pull over and then sped away, police said.
Not until he had been chased through Peekskill did the troopers manage to box him in with their cars. That's when they recognized he was experiencing a drug overdose, police said. They immediately administered two doses of Narcan, and called for emergency medical services. The man was transported to Hudson Valley Hospital Center, treated and released.

They continued to investigate, and said they found him in possession of two loaded firearms, one of which was reported stolen, plus 7.8 grams of MDMA (Ecstasy) and 4.4 grams of marijuana. He was also wanted for a parole violation.
Patrick Williams, 31, of Brooklyn, faces state charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd degree, a class A-II felony, Unlawfully Fleeing in a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd degree, a class A misdemeanor, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd degree, an unclassified misdemeanor, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation.

Williams was also charged in White Plains Federal Court by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York with two counts of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance with intent to Distribute.
Williams was arraigned before the U.S. Federal District Court in White Plains and sent to Westchester County Jail without bail. Williams is next scheduled to appear before the Federal District Court Aug. 7.
