Police Seek Driver In Buchanan Fatal Hit-and-Run

BUCHANAN, NY — Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run they believe took place at about 1 a.m. Saturday.

The body of a 60-year-0ld man was found on the Albany Post Road, News 12 reported.

It was discovered near Bleakley Avenue and the railroad bridge. Southbound Route 9A was closed briefly during the investigation, the Daily Voice reported.

Investigators are looking for a Jeep Grand Cherokee with front-end damage, according to News 12.

The on-the-scene investigation included officers from the Buchanan and Westchester County police departments, along with MTA Police, the Daily Voice reported.
