Public Lewdness In Cortlandt Store: Police
Shoppers at Kohls got more than they bargained for.

CORTLANDT, NY -- An Ossining man faces charges after apparently fondling his genitals through his pants while in the children's shoe section of Kohl's on Route 6.
On Friday, June 8, the New York State Police at Cortlandt received a complaint of a suspicious person at the Kohl’s store at 3008 East Main St. Store security officials advised called to say a man was observed entering the store on several occasions, going immediately to the children’s shoes department then apparently touching his genitalia over his pants while near children.
Later that evening he returned to the store and exposed himself to children again.

Witnesses were able to obtain his license plate, and a suspect was identified.
On June 9, state police charged Jorge L. Valdovinos, 38, with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A misdemeanor, and Public Lewdness, a class B misdemeanor.

Valdovinos was arraigned before the town of Cortlandt Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $3,000 cash bail or bond.
