Riverfront Green South and Peekskill Bay Greenway Groundbreaking Ceremony Oct. 15

Phase 2 of the city's Hudson River waterfront project is about to start.

The City of Peekskill is pleased to announce the start of construction for the second phase of the City’s $8.3 million parkland redevelopment on the Hudson River waterfront.

The design of Riverfront Green South and Peekskill Bay Greenway includes a new 1-mile paved waterfront trail, a 3-acre expansion of Riverfront Green, a boardwalk across Travis Cove, two boat docks and gazebos, sculpture and signage, and an overlook near Charles Point Park with majestic views of the Hudson River.

Construction of Riverfront Green South and Peekskill Bay Greenway is funded by a New York State grant awarded through Empire State Development. This new park and trail are expected to be open to the public in late 2015.
