“Speak Out” with Assemblywoman Sandy Galef Discusses School Funding Issues
Foundation Aid is a major topic when it comes to funding public schools: Find out more about the process of lobbying for it

Assemblywoman Sandy Galef speaks with David Fine, Superintendent of the Peekskill School District and Ray Sanchez, Superintendent of the Ossining School District on her television program, “Speak Out.”
Funding schools is a constant challenge for many districts in our area, especially Ossining and Peekskill. The New York State Budget tries to take into account the needs and strengths of different school districts, however, there have been some problems with the appropriations. The guests detail some of their efforts to promote education aid in the past and going forward.
“School funding is one of the most discussed issues facing legislators in the Budget conversations,” said Galef. “I hope that many viewers find this conversation illuminating as they hear about educational concerns in their communities.”
