State Police Make 2 Weekend DWI Arrests In Cortlandt, Peekskill

CORTLANDT, NY — State Police in Troop K said they removed 17 impaired drivers from public roadways during the May 12 weekend. Among the accused are a Cortlandt resident and a Peekskill resident.

On May 12, state troopers arrested Manuel A. Valle, 50, of Peekskill, for Aggravated DWI. He was traveling on Welcher Avenue in the city of Peekskill when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, police alleged.

On May 12, state troopers arrested Jared A. Malfer, 34, of Cortlandt, for Aggravated DWI. He was traveling on the Bear Mountain Parkway in the town of Cortlandt when he was involved in a one car motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, police said.
