Student Musicians, Dancers and their Mentors Join Violinist Daisy Jopling on Stage
Student Performers Get Chance of a Lifetime to Perform at Paramount Hudson Valley Saturday, September 24
World renowned classical/rock violinist Daisy Jopling will take the stage with high school musicians and their professional musical mentors in her September concert “Awakening” at the Paramount Hudson Valley, Peekskill, NY. The concert is scheduled for Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 7:30pm and tickets are still available to see Jopling perform along with the newly formed Academy Orchestra.
Student musicians, aged 13 to 22, who play the violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, French horn, trumpet, trombone, and percussion will perform along side professional musicians—each having served as mentors to the students for the last three months. In addition to the full orchestra, the performance features solo singers, a rhythm specialist, choir and dancers.
Jopling's performances usually sell out in advance. Tickets for “Awakening” are available for $50, $35 and $25 at www.paramounthudsonvalley.com or by visiting the box office. Concert-goers will be presented with an exclusive offer to buy a promo sneak peak of Daisy’s new album “Awakening,” which will be released in early 2017.
