Thanksgiving Wine: The One Bottle You'll Want

Dylan's Wine Cellar in Peekskill gives their choice for a great wine this holiday.

Between cooking the turkey, making the sweet potatoes and baking the pumpkin pie, finding the right wine can feel like an undertaking all its own. To help narrow down the selection, we asked a local wine shop for their one suggestion.

Steven Zwick, owner of the 6-month-old in Peekskill, recommends a pinot noir and the Manos Negras from Argentina in particular.

Zwick describes the bottle—which is on sale for $15.99 (regularly $17.99) as lighter wine, with a “nice fruitiness” to it.

Why is it great for Thanksgiving? “[It] holds up with turkey, cranberry sauce...” he says,  “And it’s also pleasing with and without food.” This way you don’t have to worry about having a different selection for before and during dinner, he advises.

If you’d still like to see what else it out there, the store has a rack of Thanksgiving recommendations with 10 bottles that will take you through the meal, from beginning to end, says Zwick.
