Town Of Cortlandt: Solar Farms And Solar Energy

             The Town of Cortlandt has been and will continue to be leaders in solar energy. Solar is important to reduce the carbon footprint, to reduce energy costs and also to provide jobs.

            We have several solar farms and many of our residents and some businesses have placed solar panels on their homes and business. The Town along with NYSERDA early on partnered to bring information about the value of solar energy to our community. However, now since we have several new solar farm applications and more to come we need to take a brief pause so we can evaluate the appropriate locations for solar farms.

            Please check out the completed privately owned solar farm approved by the Town off Croton Avenue. It's very successful and once again we believe in solar.
