Wall Street Journal Enjoys Peekskill
There's an appraisal of the city's resurgence in the paper's March 6 real estate section.

Here’s a list, boiled down, of what the Wall Street Journal likes about Peekskill:
- Affordable housing (for Westchester)
- Parks (and the waterfront)
- Downtown renaissance
- Lots of performing arts
- Active arts community
- Restaurant and music scene
- Fun events and activities
“The city has experienced a resurgence in recent years, with new housing, restaurants and events, and several redevelopment projects in various stages,” wrote Melanie Lefkowitz in the WSJ.
Some of the story will puzzle locals (like the reference to the Beach Shopping Center) but taken all in all, it’s a good glimpse of the current situation.
