WATCH: Cops Release Video of Suspect in Armed Robbery Attempt

State police are still trying to find the man the clerk fought off.

CORTLANDT, NY — The New York State Troopers of SP Cortlandt have released a video tape to help with their continuing investigation of the attempted armed robbery of the Mobil Gas Station at 2225 Crompond Road in Cortlandt Manor.

Shortly before 1 a.m. Feb. 4, police said, the suspect entered the Mobil store and displayed a weapon to the clerk. The clerk resisted, and following a struggle, the suspect ran away westbound on Route 202.

Police described the suspect as a Hispanic male of light olive complexion, overweight, with no facial hair and a Spanish accent. He was wearing a blue winter coat with a hood, dark green pants, a light brown shirt, light colored footwear, a dark covering on the lower portion of his face, dark gloves and a black hat.
