WORD extended until Dec. 17.
WORD now runs from February 27- December 17, 2016, and has now expanded to include painting by Indonesian artist Yunizar

HVCCA often features artists from the international community, some with established careers as well as those just emerging. WORD’ is HVCCA’s first open juried exhibition purposed to highlight regional artists featuring ‘a word’ or ‘words’ in their artistic productions. These newer and lesser known works sit side by side with works of well known artists including Beatrice Coron, Ann Hamilton John Mellencamp, Jeffrey Gibson, and Robert Indiana. Words have power to hurt and to heal, to be offered as prayer or diatribe. Some of these ‘word’ facets will be explored in the works presented at the HVCCA. Education programs, word performances and readings will enhance the visual exhibition at the HVCCA.
‘Untilted’ a large work by Indonesian artist Yunizar arrived completing our installation.
