Cortlandt Manor, NY – (March 9, 2015) – Tickets are now on sale for NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital’s “Wine and Dine Around the World,” an evening of fine food and wine on April 30 at the Sleepy Hollow Country Club in Briarcliff Manor.

In its fourth year, the event, which has been held in November, is being moved to April and is now in a new location. Tickets are $100 with $80 of that being tax deductible. Proceeds go to support the Ashikari Breast Center NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital. To purchase tickets, call 914-734-3526 or order online at www.nyp.org/hudsonvalley .

“Attending this festive event is a great and affordable way to support the Ashikari Breast Center and its annual symposium, which allows medical professionals and others to share the latest information on cancer screening and treatment,” said NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital President John Federspiel. “We hope that the new spring timing of the event and the new venue will make for an even more exciting evening.’’

Among those participating on April 30 are: Xaviars Restaurant, Cedar Street Grill; Forty North; 105 Ten Bar & Grill; Cathryn’s Tuscan Grill, Little Sorrento Italian Restaurant, Riverview Restaurant, Savannah’s Southern House, Winery at St. George and many more.

In addition to fine foods, local distributors will provide a wide variety of wines that can be tasted and purchased. “As in the past, we will have fine wines from around the world including Italy, France, Argentina, Spain and more,’’said event chair Rosemarie Panio, former owner of Panio Wines and Liquor in Peekskill. “These wines can be ordered at the event.’’

Bull and Barrel Brew Pub and Captain Lawrence will among those offering tastings of local craft beers. Star Vodka will also return with premium and flavored vodka.

Proceeds from the event will go toward The Ashikari Breast Center’s Education Fund, which has funded a cancer symposium for the past three years that brings together area oncologists, surgeons and other medical professionals to share best practices and the latest techniques in cancer treatment.

The Ashikari Breast Center has earned a well-deserved reputation nationwide for expertise and successful outcomes. Founded by Dr. Roy Ashikari, the practice offers access to the finest physicians in the field of breast cancer care. The center is known world -wide for the innovative one-step, nipple-sparing mastectomy, with immediate reconstruction. It is currently participating in the TARGIT clinical trials on intra-operative radiation therapy. The practice includes, Andrew Ashikari, MD; Pond Kelemen, MD and Melita Charles, MD.
