Major K-12 show at Hendrick Hudson Free Library, other events too

In honor of Youth Art Month, high school art students have been busy preparing for various art activities. The AP Art students participated in and curated the Katonah Museum of Art’s “Young Artists” show, and students in Studio Art & Art 2 had a chance to see the exhibit on a class field trip in early March. The accompanying photos are five pieces if AP student artwork in the “Young Artists” show as well as a group photo from the field trip.

Also, Hendrick Hudson student artists from grades K through 12 are well represented at the Hendrick Hudson Free Library art show entitles “Imagine 2015,” on display during library hours through March 26, with an artists’ reception to celebrate our students’ accomplishments on Wednesday, March 25, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. View a slide show of the exhibit HERE.

Finally, the National Art Honor Society will be holding two “Hen Hud Art Alumni Days” during their after school meetings on Thursdays March 12 and March 19. During the meeting art alumni will be invited to discuss college and how their high school art classes impacted their experiences.
