The ballroom dancing tournament is about to start. It’s coming at the end of March and into April.
Each year, the Pelham school district has a ballroom dancing class for fifth graders. Each school will be performing on live television during the tournament. Each student in fifth grade will be able to try to make it onto the dance team if they particapated in the tryouts last week. If they particapate, they have to try and do their best and the teachers will judge and decide who will be in the dance team. There may be six boys and six girls.

The schools will be competing one at a time. There will be two trophies—one small one for winning the championship and one will be a challenge trophy that is as tall as Mrs.Tarazi. Last year, Hutchinson won, but Colonial got the challenge trophy. It will be a great piece of entertainment for all of us that come. Best wishes to the dance team.
