BALD MOUNTAIN — Here come the Cub Scouts of Pelham Pack 1 marching on their Bear Mountain State Park hike on Oct. 10.
The scouts first went past three waterfalls, and then they went up to the top of Bald Mountain. Then they hiked to Doodletown, which is an abandoned village.

“It is a challenging hike, and you are rewarded with great views,” said Packmaster Patrick Shiels.
The pack hiked through Doodletown and saw places where buildings had been for 200 years. Hiking down the road, the pack members saw a 150-year-old oak tree, and a 200-year-old maple tree. On the trip back, they went past the waterfall again.
