Diaferia Urges Passage of Syria Non-Intervention Act of 2012 (HR 5993)

GREEN PARTY CONGRESSIONAL CANDIDATE CALLS FOR PASSAGE OF SYRIA NON-INTERVENTION ACT OF 2012

Green Party Congressional candidate Joseph Diaferia (NY-16) is urging passage of the Syria Non-Intervention Act of 2012 (HR 5993). Citing “potentially omnicidal implications”, Diaferia is calling for members of congress to pass the measure and for all Americans to take action.

Diaferia acknowledges that the bill itself may be insufficient to stay the hand of the Pentagon, but nevertheless urges its passage because it is “the only bill under consideration that I am aware of that is aimed at forestalling a major escalation of US involvement in the Middle East. An attack on Syria could be globally catastrophic.”

Diaferia’s declaration of support for the bill comes only days after the announcement of Russia’s plans to deploy troops to Syria. Three weeks ago, Diaferia expressed suspicions surrounding the Houla massacre, citing possible “false-flag” activity on the part of NATO.  In the weeks since, more evidence has surfaced that agents of the US and NATO were responsible for the Houla attacks, and that the US is arming the Syrian rebels directly.

Diaferia was quick to emphasize that he has little else in common with the author of HR 5993, US Rep. Ron Paul (R-TEX).

"As a political scientist I have no patience for Congressman Paul’s libertarian ideology, and I could not be certain that our respective views on this matter are driven by the same set of ideals. But whether Congressman Paul is sincerely committed to peace, or whether he is merely responding to his own constitutional literalist dogma—and I do not want to misrepresent him—any congressional statement in opposition to US involvement in Syria, or anywhere else in the Middle East, is helpful,"Diaferia commented.

Diaferia repeated his contention that the US’s goal in the Middle East is to install pliant regimes with the ultimate objective of encircling its post-Cold War capitalist rivals, Russia and China.

Said Diaferia, "Contrary to the rationales proffered by the White House, State Department and Pentagon, US actions are about seizing what remains of the world’s oil and natural gas, with a view to controlling and weakening any economic power deemed a threat to US hegemony. It’s what Jimmy Carter’s puppeteer Zbigniew Brzezinski wrote back in 1997 in his book The Grand Chessboard. He suggested that if the US is going to remain top dog it has to control the world’s remaining energy resources."

Since becoming the candidate of the Green Party, Diaferia, a former Democrat, has heaped damning reproach upon both major parties for their "collusion on behalf of the ruling one-percent."

Further, Diaferia has said that as part of his campaign platform he will be proposing the creation of a national truth commission that would be tasked with, among other things, exposing the false-flag/synthetic terror phenomenon to the American people.
