LINCOLN CENTER — Colonial School fifth graders went to Lincoln Center Nov. 4 for a jazz field trip with fellow students from Prospect Hill and Siwanoy schools.

The Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra performed 10 songs, including “It Don’t Mean a Thing If It Ain’t Got That Swing,” “Mood Indigo,” “Jealous” and “Black Tan Fantasy.” The students also got a surprise visit from BuBu’s great grandson. He performed in some of the songs they heard.
