Food drive a big success, collects 1,000 pounds more food this year to help others

COLONIAL SCHOOL — The food drive earlier this year was extremely succesful. Colonial School raised about $500 for the Food Bank of Westchester and about 2,000 pounds of food. That’s about 1,000 pounds more food than last year.

“It was Student Government that made it extremely successful,” said Mrs. Claire Cavalli, who coordinated the effort.

The Food Bank of Westchester serves anyone in Westchester who needs food. They work in all parts of Westchester, and they service all the neighborhoods
