Fourth and fifth graders head back to Franklin Field for recess on days 1, 3, 5
FRANKLIN FIELD — It's time for the fourth and fifth graders to go back to Franklin Field. Starting on March 16, they will return on days one, three and five.

FRANKLIN FIELD — It’s time for the fourth and fifth graders to go back to Franklin Field. Starting on March 16, they will return on days one, three and five.
If it rains, then they will not go to the field. Franklin Field is located at Pelham Middle School. In the fall, many kids have their rec soccer games there. Students love when they go to Franklin Field.

“I’m so excited to go back to the field,” said Mrs. Tonya Wilson, Colonial principal. “The kids love it there.”
She said she needed to get permission from the PMS principal to go there. “I love the field, and I hope kids can go for years on.”

Mrs. Sara Bagwell, who is the physical education teacher and often on duty at recess, said “the kids always seem to have so much fun. I really hope we can keep doing this great experience. It is great, and I love it so much.”
Teachers and students agreed that recess at Franklin Field is great.
“I love Franklin. It is awesome,” said Rafael Da Cruz, 5G.
“I am always so happy when I go to Franklin,” said Matthew Meyer, 4C. “When I wake up on a day one, three, five, the first thing I say is, ‘Yes we’re going to Franklin today!’ Franklin is awesome. The best part is I can play a full field when I play football. It is the best. I hope we do this rad experience next year”.
Mrs. Linda Carlson, fourth grade teacher, said “Franklin is a great place for fourth and fifth graders during recess. It is such a big place and you can play many games. It also means there is more room at Colonial for the K through third grade. I think this year, third graders are looking forward to this privilege next year.”
Mrs. Meryeme Gashi, fifth grade teacher, said, “If the kids walk together, they will be safe. I would love if I could watch the kids having a good time. I hope the kids will have this wonderful experience for years to come. I love Franklin Field, and I think it’s a gift.”
