Hutchinson Ballroom Dance Team captures gold in Colors of the Rainbow quarterfinal

The Hutchinson Dance Team performed at a quarterfinal match of the Colors of the Rainbow ballroom dance tournment and won gold. The teams were named after colors and Hutch was the green team. The team captains were Andrew Clausen and Sophia Fronce.

The dancers for the boys were Andrew, Stephan, Carlos, Jeremy, Joey and Jack. The girl dancers were Sophia, Carranza, Sophia, Hailey, Dominique, Monica and Kiara. The alternates were Gabe and Gabby.

The Rainbow Round was last week. The alternates dance if one of the dancers is sick or injured. The medals were:

• Bronze: Yellow and Orange teams
• Silver: Blue and another team
• Gold: Hutch!!!! as well as Pink and Red

So we won gold. How cool is that? The performance was from 4:30 pm to 6 pm. The semifinals are coming up. Hutch’s dance team will be leaving school at 3:20 pm.
