Oreo the hamster gone, but not forgotten, and replaced by Raj
COLONIAL SCHOOL — Oreo, the hamster that lived in Mrs. Linda Carlson's room, has been dead for around four months.

COLONIAL SCHOOL — Oreo, the hamster that lived in Mrs. Linda Carlson’s room, has been dead for around four months.
The black-and-white-spotted hamster was old, and no one killed him. Mrs. Carlson, who teaches fourth grade, knew it would happen sooner or later.

“He died because hamsters just don’t live that long,” said Mrs. Carlson.
There is a new hamster to make up for the death of Oreo, a Teddy bear hamster named Raj, which means “king” in Hindu. The word was introduced to 4C by Rishi Basu. The hamster was fetched from the Pelham Pet Shop by Ella Deyoung and her mother, who works at the shop.
