Riley Connor wins as president in Hutch student government election

HUTCHINSON SCHOOL — The votes were cast and the winners chosen. Riley Connor was elected student government president and Andrew Clausen won as vice president.

Riley said she would like to bring some new school activities as well as continue the traditions.

“I am very excited to improve our school,” she said.

One of Riley’ s new ideas is to bring back the reccess equipment, including kickball bases, soccer nets and things that would make reccess more enjoyable. Also, she would like to start a mentoring program for students that need or want a little extra help.

Riley said she wants to have sales like for the lost-and-found items that have been here for years and years. Also, she would like to hold more fundraising events and raffles.
