Third grade students play songs during string concert on Jan. 27

HUTCHINSON GYM — Many people can play different instruments like violin, cello, bass and viola. The students that play strings performed a concert on Jan. 27.

Songs they played included “Jingle Bells,” “Hot Crossed Buns,” and my favorite, “Up and Down The D Scale.” When they did the concert, two people did a challenge song. That was pretty amazing.

People who play the string instruments learn new notes they play on their instruments. Some of the notes are called G, E, F, A, B, C and F sharp.
