What kids are doing this summer: birthdays, pools, camps, a zoo and Legoland

THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD — The school year is almost over. Everyone is going places. Some people might be visiting relatives or friends. Or staying at home.

Lucia LaVallee (3R) is doing a lot of things in the summer. She is going to Vermont, Cape Cod and two camps— farm camp and sailing camp. It looks like she will have a very fun summer.

Stephan Akichy (5SA) said he is going to Canada this summer to visit his uncle. The way he is getting there is by going on a bus. Stephan will stay with his uncle for two weeks. In Canada, Stephan is going to the zoo, he said in an inteview.

Joe DaProcida (3G) said he is going to Florida. He plans to visit Legoland, a hotel, see his friend Colin and celebrate his birthday. He is leaving on July 2.

Qiubei Li (4P) is going to move in the summer. She said she plans to swim every Saturday.

Ali Milanese (3R) said she and classmate Gracie DaProcida are going to the New York Athletic Club in Pelham Manor over the summer. She didn’t say if they were using Ali’s car or Gracie’s.

Many kids are going different places for the summer. Have a great summer!
