Celebrating Black History Month: CUNY Professor Diane Wilson to speak at St. Catharine Academy

Diane I. Wilson, a member the New York City College of Technology City Tech faculty, will present “The Great Migration of Blacks” at St. Catharine Academy on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 1 p.m. The audio-visual presentation is part of St. Catharine’s celebration of Black History Month.

Wilson teaches African American Studies at City Tech. She currently teaches African Art and Symbolism, African Civilizations and Africana Folklore. Wilson holds an associate’s degree in liberal studies from CUNY’s New York City Technical College and a bachelor’s degree in African American Studies from CUNY’s Hunter College. Wilson also holds master’s degrees in sociology from New York University and in African American Studies from Ohio State University.
