PELHAM STREETS — Teachers at Colonial handed out Trick or Treat for UNICEF boxes a few days before Halloween so kids could collect for the cause.
“I feel great that I’m donating this money to people who are less fortunate than us,” said Amelie L’Henaff. “I only had a couple of houses that donated money, and if they did, it was not much.”

Catalina Rivera said, “I think that it’s necessary for kids that are not as fortunate as others, and it was generous of the people who gave money. Most houses gave money, and some didn’t because they didn’t know what that was and what was happening.”
For students who collected for UNICEF, it felt good to help and that they could make a difference in a child’s life. Since 1950, Trick or Treat for UNICEF supporters have collected over $132 million to help children around the world.
