
Armadillo is the second featured film in Pelham Picture House's Top Doc Series.
A complimentary wine reception will start the event at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, followed by the film at 7 p.m.
Following the film, there will be a Q&A discussion with award-winning director Janus Metz.
Advance tickets are recommended and can be purchased online at www.thepicturehouse.org for $10 for members and $15 for non-members.

About Armadillo
A somewhat controversial documentary, it chronicles a six-month tour at Armadillo a military base in Helmand province, Afghanistan, where some 270 Danish and British soldiers are based. The film shows the soldiers going out on patrol. They hand out candy and gifts to return to base without incident. It continues to show them at leisure, then ensuing in battles, and their daily trials of war.
About Janus Metz
Born in Denmark, Janus Metz received a master’s degree in communications and international development studies from Roskilde University. After working as a documentary researcher, Metz moved to South Africa where he worked on the television drama SOUL CITY before making his debut documentary short, TOWNSHIP BOYS, in 2006. His feature documentaries include LOVE ON DELIVERY (2008,) TICKETS TO PARADISE (2008,) and ARMADILLO (2010.)
