The Lorillards and the Bronx Botanical Garden is the topic of the first lecture in the Winter Lecture Series, on March 1. For more than 100 years, the wealthy Lorillard family was an important presence in the Bronx. Wayne Cahilly of the New York Botanical Garden will talk about the Lorillards’ spellbinding history, from snuff making to horse racing.
