Bartow-Pell's A Storybook Christmas Evening Holiday Celebration includes cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, dinner, caroling by the A caPelhams, silent and live auctions, and more.
The live auction — short, sweet and sophisticated — includes four unique items: a weekend at a four-bedroom City Island landmark Victorian house overlooking the Long Island Sound; a country house in the Berkshires for a long weekend; a dinner for 10 people in the double parlors of the Bartow-Pell Mansion; and sponsorship of the museum’s shutter restoration project. The City Island Victorian is perfect for housing out-of-town guests for a family reunion, graduation, or birthday celebration, or just for some quiet time in a unique city setting. The Berkshires country house is excellent for a ski weekend or a summer Tanglewood visit. Stays at both houses will be scheduled at a mutually agreed upon time between the owners and highest bidders. Pelham resident John Hastings will serve as auctioneer for the evening. Cost per person for the Evening Holiday Celebration: Angels $250; Cherubs $200 (both include listing in the program); Snowflakes $125.
