Fatal Crash on the Sprain Brook Parkway

A Bellerose, NY resident died on the Sprain Brook Parkway this morning after a 1-car accident.

New York state police said they were called to the crash site in Yonkers at about 11 a.m. July 26.

Investigation revealed the driver, Kuldeep Reehal, 24, was traveling northbound on the Sprain Brook Parkway, when he lost steering control of his vehicle, causing it to exit the roadway over the western shoulder. His car smashed through the guide rail before coming to rest.

Reehal sustained internal injuries as a result of the collision and was transported to the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, where he died, police said.

The state police were assisted with the investigation by Yonkers Police Department and Yonkers Fire Department. The New York State Police are requesting any witnesses with information to contact (914) 769-2600.
