MIDDLETOWN — One chilly day in September, the fifth grade went to Ring Homestead Camp to work on teamwork. Ring Homestead is a place where there are rope courses, rock walls and zip-lines.

One event everyone was dying to see was Ms. Spadaro go on the zip-line. In an interview, Ms. Spadaro said she was excited, terrified and looking foward to a new experience, all at the same time.

Students had to wear harnesses so they wouldn't fall off when on a rope course.

Juan Carlos Matos (5S) said, "I was really excited because my brother said it was the best field trip, and I found out he was right."

Nicholas Cross (5s) said, "It was fun, but most of the things were high, which I didn't like."

Jack Murphy (5V) said the trip "was pretty enjoyable, but I would like it if we stayed a little longer."

Some people didn't enjoy the field trip as much. "The trip was okay but unfair because my group only got to rock climbing, fish net and tires, and those took too long," said Micheal Micciche (5V). "We didn't get to do the zip-line, and if Colonial spent more money and we got to do it for two days, it would be much better."
