Fulton Avenue Bridge Between Pelham Manor and Mt. Vernon Closed Indefinitely
Closure announced after the drawbridge failed to lower completely.

- The following announcement was sent by Westchester County today.
Effective immediately and continuing until further notice, the Fulton Avenue Drawbridge between Secor Lane and Edison Avenue in Mount Vernon and Pelham Manor will be closed to vehicles and pedestrians.
This closure is due to emergency bridge repairs. Tuesday night, the bridge became stuck at a 15-degree angle. Coast Guard regulations require that the waterway be kept accessible for maritime traffic at all times. Therefore, the bridge will be kept up and traffic detoured.
This bridge has failed numerous times in the past and on occasion has been closed for as long as six months.
