Chinese New Year exhibits, Shabbat dinners and rock n' roll

It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend.

1.  COMMUNITY SHABBAT DINNER

2. SENIOR TALENT SHOW

Where/When: , Friday and Saturday, 7 p.m.

Why Go: Watch the local teen talent sing, dance, and perform who knows what. Think: "High School Musical," sans the fire-breathing or sword swallowing.   

Pricing: By donation

 

3. THE BARGE PROJECT

Where/When: Johnny’s on 5, Saturday, 7 p.m.- 11 p.m.

Why Go: It’s classic rock-in-roll with cheap beer, so why not?

Pricing: $3 beers, $4 glasses of red and white wine, and $5 buffalo wings and Johnny’s Nachos (waffle fries with cheese)

4. GAME NIGHT

Where/When: , Saturday, 5 p.m.

Why Go: Who doesn’t love Clue, Monopoly, and Guess Who? Plus, a special prize goes to the person with the highest board game score.

Pricing: $5 food/drink minimum

 

5. CHINESE NEW YEAR’S CELEBRATION

Where/When: , Saturday 1:30 p.m.

Why Go: You get to get your fingers sticky in this two-hour paper-craft workshop celebrating the Chinese Lunar New Year and the Year of the Rabbit.
