Heavy Rain, Gusty Winds Forecast This Weekend for Pelham

Areas of drizzle, snow and sleet tonight but temps will rise into the 50s by Sunday.

The National Weather Service’s latest weekend weather forecast for Westchester County has it all, the chance of light freezing rain, some snowflakes, sleet, and then a heavy driving rainstorm, too.

“The overnight will feature cloudy skies… some patchy fog possible… but also the threat of some very light freezing drizzle or sleet, as temps are expected to fall into the upper 20s,” writes Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather. “The timing is likely near or after midnight.

“We should be clear… this is not a widespread, significant event,” he continued. “The concern is for some patchy light freezing drizzle that could impact parts of the region overnight… and cause a few slick spots in the early morning hours on Saturday, before temps rise above freezing. If you have to travel late Friday night or early Saturday morning, you’ll want to take it extra slow, and take stock of the conditions where you are.”

The big news this weekend is the fact we could be dealing with a major rain storm throughout the region, beginning after midnight Sunday and continuing through the morning.
